RAVE – 848 & 850 E. Lincoln Avenue
Request for Site Plan Approval and Special Land Use (SLU) Permit for Transitional Housing Facility
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: The City of Ionia Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 4:30 PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at City Hall, 114 N. Kidd Street, Ionia, Michigan 48846, to receive comments on the requests made by Relief After Violent Encounter - Ionia/Montcalm Inc. (RAVE). The requests include a site plan and special land use permit approval for a transitional housing facility at 848 and 850 E. Lincoln Avenue which have recently been combined into one parcel. The requests were submitted pursuant to Chapter 1252 of the Zoning Code.
The requests are contingent on City Council’s approval of the site being rezoned into the HDR, High-Density Residential District at its April 2 meeting. The HDR District permits transitional housing facilities subject to both site plan and special land use permit approval.
At the conclusion of the Public Hearing, the Planning Commission may act on the requests.
Comments regarding the requests may be offered at the Public Hearing, mailed to Jonathan Bowman, Assistant City Manager/City Clerk, at the City Hall address listed above, or e-mailed to jbowman@ci.ionia.mi.us prior to the Public Hearing.
