NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held in the Council Chambers, Ionia City Hall, 114 N. Kidd Street, Ionia, Michigan on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 6:30 PM at a regular meeting of the City Council, to consider a proposed first amendment to an existing Act 425 Conditional Land Transfer Agreement for the conditional transfer of property between the City of Ionia and Berlin Township, pursuant to Act 425 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1984, as amended. The proposed First Amendment pertains to the conditional transfer of one parcel and a portion of a second parcel of land near W. Riverside Drive, Ionia, MI (depicted in the map below and included within the green boundary), from the jurisdiction of Berlin Township to the jurisdiction of the City of Ionia for the limited purposes of economic development and the provision of governmental services:
A copy of the proposed First Amendment is on file in the office of the City Manager and may be examined at City Hall at the address provided above during normal City business hours.
Written comments concerning the proposed Agreement will be accepted up to the time of the public hearing. All interested persons may attend the hearing and comment upon the proposed Agreement.
Following the public hearing, the City Council may act on the proposed Agreement in the manner permitted by law.
