2025 FALL WASTE DISPOSAL SERVICES NOTICE

Brush/Yard Waste Removal Program

Residential brush and bagged yard waste will be collected in the City during the week of September 16, according to the program guidelines. All brush and bagged yard waste must be placed at the curb by 7:00 AM, Monday, September 15, 2025. Streets will be covered one time only. Visit the City’s website for all guidelines.

Dump-Your-Junk Day

Fall Dump-Your-Junk Day will be Saturday, September 20, 2025. Dumpsters will be available at the City’s Public Works Garage, 303 S. Jackson Street, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM or until all the dumpsters have been filled. Household Hazardous waste will be accepted by the Ionia Conservation District during this time. Bagged Leaves Pick-Up Program

The City will collect bagged leaves during the month of November and the first week of December, according to the schedule posted on the City’s website. Leaves must be placed in the large paper yard waste bags and placed on the berm (area between the sidewalk and curb) for removal. Leaves may also be discarded at the City’s compost site located off Apple Tree Drive.
