NOTICE OF ADOPTION
Ordinance No. 601 — Create Section 1274.10 “Parking as an Accessory Use to an Adjacent Lot” and amend Section 1260 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Ionia, Michigan
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Ordinance No. 601 was adopted by the Ionia City Council on January 7, 2026. The ordinance amends Section 1260.03 – “Special Land Uses” and create Section 1274.10 – “Parking as an Accessory Use to an Adjacent Lot” to allow parking as an accessory special land use to an adjacent lot within the B-3, General Business District. The following is a summary of the ordinance.
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 1260, SECTION 1260.03 AND ENACT A NEW SECTION 1274.10 ENTITLED “PARKING AS AN ACCESSORY USE TO AN ADJACENT LOT” OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF IONIA.
Section 1: Amendment of Section 1260.03 - “Special Land Uses”
Section 2: Creation of Section 1274.10 – “Parking as an Accessory Use to an Adjacent Lot”
Section 3: Severability
Section 4: Effective Date
