NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

RAVE – 848 & 850 E. Lincoln Ave.
Request for a Rezoning at 848 & 850 E. Lincoln Avenue from B-1 Neighborhood Business District to HDR High-Density Residential District

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: 

The City of Ionia Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 4:30 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at City Hall, 114 N. Kidd Street, Ionia, MI 48846, to receive comments on rezoning 848 and 850 E. Lincoln Avenue from B-1 Neighborhood Business District to HDR High-Density Residential District. The request for a rezoning is needed to bring the longtime nonconforming use of transitional housing into the correct zoning district to allow the potential for future expansion.

At the conclusion of the Public Hearing, the Planning Commission may take action on the request.

The proposed rezoning would be enacted through Ordinance No. 593 - Rezoning of 848 and 850 E. Lincoln Ave. (PDF) which may be reviewed online or at City Hall during regular business hours. Comments regarding the request may be offered at the Public Hearing or provided to the Assistant City Manager, Jonathan Bowman, at the City Hall address listed above or via e-mail at jbowman@ci.ionia.mi.us prior to the Public Hearing.
