NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Ordinance No. 593 - Rezone parcels 34-204-017-000-010-00 (848 E. Lincoln Avenue) and 34-204-017-000-011-00 (850 E. Lincoln Avenue) from the B-1 Neighborhood Business District to the HDR High-Density Residential District

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held in the Council Chambers, Ionia City Hall, 114 N. Kidd Street, Ionia, Michigan on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 6:30 PM at a meeting of the City Council, to receive comments on Ordinance No. 593. If approved, this ordinance will rezone parcels 34-204-017-000-010-00 (848 E. Lincoln Avenue) and 34-204-017-000-011-00 (850 E. Lincoln Avenue) from the B-1 Neighborhood Business District as identified in Chapter 1256 to the HDR High-Density Residential District as identified in Chapter 1252; and the inclusion of the parcels as defined on the Zoning Map identified in Section 1246.02 Districts Generally and Zoning Map District Boundaries of Chapter 1256 - Title Six - Zoning of Part Twelve - Planning and Zoning Code of the City of Ionia Codified Ordinances. 

Following the public hearing the City Council will be asked to approve the ordinance on second reading. The ordinance will become effective seven (7) days after publication.

Section Three: Publication and Effective Date
Section Four: Repealer

Comments regarding the request may be offered at the Public Hearing or provided to the Assistant City Manager, Jonathan Bowman, at the City Hall address listed above or via e-mail at jbowman@ci.ionia.mi.us prior to the Public Hearing.
