NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Single Lot Special Assessment Roll
The City of Ionia will conduct a public hearing on June 4, 2025 at 6:30 PM, in the Council Chambers located at 114 North Kidd Street, Ionia, Michigan 48846, for the purpose of receiving comments from interested persons on the 2025 Single Lot Special Assessment Roll, which per Section 210.23 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Ionia is used to convert delinquent invoices owed to the City for prior labor, materials, and/or services into property tax liens.
A draft single lot special assessment roll will be compiled and made available for review at Ionia City Hall or view Exhibit A - 2025 Single Lot Special Assessment Roll (PDF) online. Additionally, property owners with delinquent invoices proposed for inclusion on the roll will be individually notified by first class mail at least 10 days prior to the public hearing.
Written comments received before the hearing will be forwarded to City Council for consideration as part of the public hearing. Written comments should be sent to the City Clerk’s Office at 114 North Kidd Street, PO Box 496, Ionia, Michigan 48846.
