View Assessing & Property Tax Information
Visit the AccessMyGov.com pages for the City of Ionia. When viewing the property tax information there, you will also have the option to pay amounts due if you desire. Please note: If you choose to pay property taxes by credit card, a 3% convenience fee is charged to the transaction when paying online or in person at City Hall.
Poverty Exemption
State statute provides for a property tax exemption, in whole or part, for the principal residence of persons who, by reason of poverty, are unable to contribute to the public charges. In order to receive a poverty exemption, a taxpayer must annually file a completed application form, and all required additional documentation, with the City Assessor for review by the Board of Review. For more information visit the State of Michigan's website.
